Portnellan offers award-winning self catering accommodation situated in the northern region of the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, a 90-minute drive from Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Portnellans holiday lodges and cottages are located 2 km from the village of Crianlarich within a privately owned family estate with the famous Ben More mountain towering above. The location benefits from sensational views across the lochs, mountains and glen.

The properties vary in size from 1 to 8 bedrooms and can sleep from 1 to 16 people with fully fitted kitchens, sumptious hotel grade bed mattresses, Egyptian cotton bed linen, towels and soaps.

The Portnellan Estate boasts a selection of traditionally built stone cottages and timber framed lodges overlooking Loch Iubhair (pronounced Ewar), Loch Dochart, Glen Dochart and the surrounding mountains.

Open plan living areas lead to large deckings which feature garden furniture to enjoy the stunning true, rugged, Highland landscapearound you.

On-site activities and facilities rowing boats, wild salmon and trout fishing on the estate lochs and river, kayaks, paddle boards and much much more. There is also a games room offering table tennis, pool table and table football.

Recently introduced on site is a "BBQ hutte" available to hire that seats up to 16 people. Perfect foryear round, regardless of the weather, real fire BBQing experience for family and friends to enjoy.

There is a small visitors centre offering local organic meat and local produce. There is an extensive DVD library, selection of board games and information on local events, activities and attractions.

The hotel day starts from hour 16:00 and ends at 10:00.

Pets are permitted strictly by prior arrangement and in certain cottages and chalets. There is a pet fee of GPB 40 per stay and includes a welcome pack for your pet tobiscuits, the use of a water and food bowl, blanket and poo bags.Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Raven Lodge. The Raven is a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom timber-framed holiday property boasts an open-plan living area with a wood burning stove, a dining and kitchen area with sliding doors to a large patio area with BBQ facilities (upon request) and garden furniture. The master bedroom has a king-size double bed and an en suite bathroom with a power shower. A further bathroom with large bath and an overhead shower serves the twin bedroom. Full new Egyptian Cotton bed linen, towels, Arran Aromatic toiletries, bathrobes and slippers are also supplied. The kitchen is equipped with a washing machine, a dishwasher, an oven, a hob, a microwave and a fridgefreezer. Buzzard Lodge. The Buzzard is situated high on the Portnellan Estate offering views to Loch Dochart, Loch Luibhair, Ben More and the surrounding mountains. It consists of a large double en suite bedroom with a king-size double bed and a separate twin room with an en suite shower room.new Egyptian cotton bed linen and white towels are included. The large lounge encased in glass with views of Loch Dochart, Loch Luibhair, Ben More and glenfrom the large Duresta suite. The open plan diningkitchen area is separate to the living area. The property comprises of a double bedroom with king-size double and an open plan living and dining area. The bathroom has a power shower over the bath. The Kestrel is situated at the foot of the Portnellan Estate natural amphitheater with views of the of Ben More. Offering 1 king-size double bedroom and 2 twin bedrooms, there is an open-plan living and dining area. The bathroom has a shower over the bath. Kingfisher Lodge. The Kingfisher can accommodate up to 4 people and comprises of a king-sized bed with en-suite facilities and a twin bedroom with 2 single beds. Stob Binnein Cottage. Stob Binnein is a beautiful 4 star, 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom holiday property that can sleep up to 8 people. It looks out over private gardens across Loch Dochart to the castle ruin on the island and comprises 4 spacious bedrooms, 3 of which are double located upstairs and a twin bedroom with ensuite facilities located downstairs. Stob Binnein features an open plan kitchen with large breakfast bar leading to a dining area. French doors lead to a large living area the property with a sliding, double glazed patio door leading to a private patio with garden furniture, Weber gas BBQ (available upon request) and unrestricted views over Loch Dochart, Glen Dochart and the castle ruin on the island. Capercaillie Cottage. Capercallie is a 4 star, 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom holiday property on the Portnellan Estate that can sleep up to 8 people. It is situated within the glen with commanding views over the Glen Dochart. With a spacious open-plan kitchen and dining area with breakfast bar, the property benefits from a large social area. French doors lead to the living room and a large sliding door leading to a private patio with garden furniture offering unrestricted views over Loch Dochart, Glen Dochart, Ben More and the surrounding mountains. Deerstalker is located on the Portnellan Estate and offers the 1 bedroom, 5 star self-catering accommodation sleeping up to 2 people with en suite bathroom and open plan living, dining and kitchen area. The accommodation is situated in the heart of the central Highlands of Scotland with spectacular loch, glen and mountain views. Deerstalker comprises of 1 bedroom, a fully tiled en suite bathroom with full-size bath, separate power shower cubicle and heated floor.
